Enterprise Medical Recruiting is seeking a Surgical Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Northern Massachusetts to join a community-based health system. The role involves hands-on surgical duties in general and orthopedic surgery within a hospital setting.

The PA-C will provide first-assist support, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in discharge planning and patient care coordination while enjoying a Monday–Friday schedule with no call.

Qualifications

• NCCPA certification required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Eligible for licensure in Massachusetts.
• Surgical experience in general surgery and/or orthopedic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical tasks such as suturing, wound closure, hemostasis, and tissue retraction.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Manage postoperative care and monitor recovery progress.
• Conduct daily patient rounds.
• Evaluate and manage acute surgical patients in inpatient and ED settings.
• Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Participate in discharge planning and follow‑up care coordination.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the electronic medical record.

A well-established community-based health system in Northern Massachusetts is seeking a full-time Surgical Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join its growing surgical team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced surgeons in both general surgery and orthopedic surgery within a busy hospital setting.

This role is ideal for a Physician Assistant who enjoys a hands-on surgical practice, values collaboration, and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care to diverse communities.

Position Highlights

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday schedule
• No call responsibilities
• Inpatient and Emergency Department coverage only
