Job summary

Protouch Staffing seeks a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a surgical team serving Bergen County, New Jersey. This full-time, in-person role offers meaningful operating room experience and direct involvement in patient care across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has approximately 1–2 years of surgical experience, PA-C certification, and comfort working in general or acute care surgery. This position includes a rotating 24/7 call schedule and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant license.
• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• Approximately 1–2 years of surgical experience preferred.
• Prior experience in general or acute care surgery preferred.
• New graduates are not the target profile.
• Comfortable working in the operating room.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first assist during major/minor general and acute care procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-operative hospital care.
• See patients for post-operative visits and follow-ups.
• Assist with treatment planning and ongoing care.
• Work with physician and surgical team across locations.
• Participate in rotating call schedule.
