Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Housekeeping, transportation, CNA, or OR experience
• Must be organized with good follow through
• Knowledge of Operating Room practices

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties in OR areas and prep for next case within established timeframe.
• Identify equipment and supplies across surgical specialties.
• Set up rooms according to proper room placement and positioning.
• Follow cleaning and disinfection procedures in all assigned areas.
• Transport patients between the OR, Holding, PACU, and patient units.
• Assist in lifting/transferring patients from stretcher/bed to OR table and vice versa.
• Assist staff with positioning patients and hold limbs for surgical prep.
• Transport surgical specimens and blood products using proper handling procedures.
