Brookwood Baptist Health in Homewood, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Surgery team in the Main Operating Room. This full-time role offers multiple scheduling options (3, 4, or 5 days per week) and requires call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Active Alabama RN license or valid multistate RN license.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, and TNCC are required for certain areas.
• One year experience required unless AVP level or above approval; OR experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the main operating room and provide patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Prepare the operating room and sterile instruments.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and communicate with the surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure patient safety.
• Coordinate communication between the surgical team and other staff to ensure safe outcomes.
• Document care and comply with regulatory standards.
