Job summary

Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Surgical Services RN for a day shift, full-time role. You will scrub and circulate, assisting surgeons with hemostasis, wound exposure, and patient positioning in a fast-paced operating suite.

Required MD nursing licensure with a nursing diploma, OR experience preferred, and ACLS/BLS within specified windows. Ascension emphasizes growth and patient-centered care within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing required.
• Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire date or transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date or transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school or required professional licensure at time of hire.
• OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute scrub functions, including selection and sterile handling of instrumentation and supplies.
• Execute circulator functions, including monitoring, documentation, and real-time communication.
• Partner with surgeons to facilitate hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and optimal patient positioning.
• Oversee the preparation and sterilization of rooms, surgical instruments, and high-tech equipment.
• Deliver nursing care while maintaining a focus on safety, sterility, and clinical outcomes.
