Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks an Operating Room Clinical Supervisor RN to ensure safe and efficient surgical services at Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX. The OR Charge Nurse will support patients and surgical teams, oversee staff, manage schedules, and maintain compliance with hospital policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating the daily surgery schedule, ensuring adequate staffing and supplies, and liaising among surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS on hire and maintain.
• Current ACLS within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Current PALS on hire and maintain, preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in an acute care OR setting.
• CNOR within 2 years, preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing staff in the operating room and manage shift schedules.
• Coordinate daily surgical schedule and ensure proper staffing and supplies.
• Facilitate communication among surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and surgical checklists.
• Oversee patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Manage OR instruments and supplies and interact with suppliers.
