Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care within our CT facilities. The RN will uphold the ANA standards, collaborate with the health care team, and apply professional practice models to achieve outcomes.

Qualified candidates will hold CT RN licensure, BSN preferred, and current BCLS certification. Clinical specialty certification is encouraged as part of ongoing professional development within our SPIRE program.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred; All newly hired RNs must have current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.
• Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut; clinical specialty certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Standards of Practice RN practice is guided by the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice; the RN uses the nursing process, coordinates care, and provides health teaching and promotion.
• Standards of Professional Performance including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, and environmental health.
