What You Will Do

Provides and manages direct health care for a specified patient population while delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered medical care.

• Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Examine patients using medical instruments and diagnostic equipment.
• Obtain and document comprehensive patient medical histories.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and imaging examinations.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatment regimens as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, wellness, nutrition, hygiene, and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Coordinate care and refer patients to medical specialists or other healthcare resources as needed.
