Registered Nurse – Surgery

Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care across the surgical continuum, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op.
- Support surgeons and anesthesia providers by preparing the OR, anticipating needs, and maintaining a sterile, efficient environment.
- Monitor patient status, document accurately, and respond quickly to changes during procedures.
- Collaborate with the entire surgical team to ensure smooth case flow, patient comfort, and exceptional outcomes.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active Alaska RN license (or ability to obtain).
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; previous OR or perioperative experience strongly preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills, with the ability to stay focused under pressure.
