Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care and collaborate with the healthcare team in a designated clinical area. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, coordination, and ongoing patient assessment using the nursing process.

The Level II RN will participate in performance improvement, orientation of new staff, and unit committees to support quality care and safety. Evening/night shifts and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or reciprocal compact state.
• BSN is preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Coordinate patient/family involvement and discharge planning.
• Communicate the plan of care to other health team members.
• Support leaders in defining standards of excellence for patient care.
