Job summary

UPMC Procirca is seeking a full-time Intermediate Surgical Neurophysiologist to provide real-time multi-modality neurophysiological monitoring across diagnostic labs, ICUs and operating rooms. You will work under supervision and follow department guidelines while supporting surgical teams.

The role includes flexible shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours) with on-call coverage after credentialing, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Real-time multi-modality neurophysiological monitoring.
• Ability to interpret data across CNS and PNS during procedures.
• Demonstrated competency with intraoperative monitoring environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate monitoring equipment per policy to obtain optimal results.
• Troubleshoot suboptimal results during testing or procedures.
• Prepare/testing carts and ensure patient safety during setup.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment; report significant changes to the supervising neurophysiologist.
• Collaborate with anesthesia for optimal delivery of anesthesia during procedures.
• Record and report findings to supervising neurophysiologist.
• Maintain documentation and ensure data security post-operatively.
• Provide hard copy reports to physicians as needed.
