Qualifications

• Active coding certification such as CPC, CPC-A, CCS, or equivalent.
• 1–2+ years of medical scratch coding experience, ideally with surgical coding exposure.
• Strong understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Ability to code from operative reports and physician documentation.
• Comfortable working in Excel, including logs, sorting/filtering, and tracking daily work.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while still contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

• Code from operative reports and physician documentation.
• Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to ensure accurate claim submission.
• Support claim submission and denial workflows and process improvements.
