Nuvance Health Med Practice PC, Vassar Plastics department, is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time role at the Hopewell Junction and Poughkeepsie practices. The MA will provide clinical and clerical support, ensuring patient areas are prepared and workflows run smoothly.

New graduates or experienced MAs, CNAs, or EMTs welcome. BLS required within 30 days of hire; reliable transportation is necessary to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• One year of MA experience required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel between practices.
• Data entry required and familiarity with electronic medical records.

Responsabilités

• Greets and escorts patients and verifies identity per SOP.
• Transcribes and updates patient information in the EMR.
• Performs clerical tasks and prepares patient charts for providers.
• Assists with EMR orders reconciliation and documentation.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms and performs weekly environmental rounds.
• Prepares patients for visits with gowns, supplies, and educational materials.
• Conducts in-office testing and coordinates related services.
• Collects and processes specimens and logs results.
• Contacts patients for follow-up and test results.
• Supports training of new staff and upholds compliance.
