Qualifications

• Medical Assistance Certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist during medical examinations.
• Maintain medical records and insurance reports.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments.
• Schedule outside testing and referrals.
• Arrange/schedule outside testing and referrals
• Assist during medical examinations
• Prepare and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
• Physiological studies
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments – sterilization procedures and protocols
• Phone triage

As a Surgical Medical Assistant, your primary location will be our Payson, AZ clinic, with initial training required at our Mesa Clinic. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate is someone who can be assertive and confident. You must possess great decision-making skills, excellent time management, and the ability to effectively communicate with multiple Physicians and colleagues while having the eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Surgical Assisting

• Clinic/vitals
• Update and file medical records and insurance reports
• Arrange/schedule outside testing and referrals
• Assist during medical examinations
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
• Physiological studies
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments – knowledge of sterilization procedures and protocols
• Phone triage
