You will assist with anesthesia, patient monitoring, and postoperative care while collaborating closely with veterinarians and veterinary assistants to deliver high-quality medicine.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license in good standing.
• 3 years of veterinary medicine experience.
• Surgical or anesthesia experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care including patient restraint, postoperative monitoring, wound care, and bandage changes.
• Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, anesthesia induction/monitoring, and recovery care.
• Monitor vital signs and ensure patient safety throughout all procedures.
• Perform diagnostic and laboratory procedures, including blood collection and in-house testing.
• Prepare and maintain surgical suites, equipment, and instruments.
• Educate clients on postoperative care and follow-up instructions.
