Job summary

Methodist Health System seeks a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (full-time nights). The RN delivers complex critical care to post-surgical and high-acuity patients, including ventilator and hemodynamic management, titration of IV drips, and rapid response to clinical changes.

You’ll collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, precept as needed, support quality and safety initiatives, and grow through ongoing education in a mission-driven, faith-based environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Texas.
• Experience in surgical ICU or high-acuity care preferred.
• Ability to manage ventilators and vasoactive infusions.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for post-surgical and high-acuity patients.
• Deliver evidence-based critical care interventions.
• Communicate clearly with physicians and team members.
• Educate patients and families about care plans.
• Precept as needed and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
