Job summary

YNHHS is hiring a Central Service Tech to support sterile processing and instrument handling. You will decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, and distribute instruments following approved SOPs, while maintaining logs and ensuring sterility for patients.

We value teamwork and adherence to infection control policies and require basic computer skills and the ability to operate the ABACUS tracking system. Must pursue required credentials within 24 months of hire.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Experience as a central service technician preferred.
• Must obtain a CRCTS or CBSPD credential within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Fosters an environment conducive to teamwork and effective communication.
• Performs SPD functions including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution following SOPs.
• Records and monitors indicators and maintains department logs to ensure sterility.
• Learns and uses Instrument Tracking System (ABACUS) and other inventory/ scheduling systems as required.
