Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center in the Dallas area is seeking a registered nurse to render highly professional nursing care to assigned patients. The role uses the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, and supports the mission of Methodist Health System.

The position requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing, Texas license or eligibility, current BLS certification, and at least six months RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
• Communicates effectively with team, patients and families.
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care using the nursing process.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Ensures accurate and timely written communication of patient information.
• Administers medications and IVs safely and accurately.
• Demonstrates personal responsibility for performance and professional growth.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
