Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the 7pm–7am PRN shift to deliver professional, evidence-based nursing care and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Requirements include graduating from an accredited nursing program, active Texas RN license or eligibility, current BLS certification, and a minimum of six months RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family education process.
• Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients, and family members and evaluates understanding of information.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and professional growth and development.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Other duties as assigned.
