Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System’s Main Campus in Cleveland is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the Surgical Critical Care unit. You will work nights, 7:00pm-7:30am, on a team delivering advanced respiratory care in a high-acuity ICU setting, with autonomy and collaboration across disciplines.

You’ll assess and treat patients, manage ventilators, and contribute to patient education and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC.
• Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) License from Ohio Medical Board.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS through AHA/Red Cross or NRP/NPS certification as site appropriate.
• Diploma and/or transcripts must be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with respiratory conditions.
• Manage ventilators and airways; respond to critical situations.
• Perform cardiopulmonary evaluations and administer therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes and ensure care continuity.
• Provide patient and family education and serve as a preceptor for new staff and students.
