Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a skilled SICU Registered Nurse to apply nursing processes and deliver high-quality patient care in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. You will manage post-operative care and assist in anesthesia recovery, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Requirements include an active RN license and preferred SICU/ICU experience; certifications such as CPAN/CAPA are a plus. This contract role offers competitive pay and benefits, with location options in IL.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state where the nurse practices.
• 2 years of SICU, PACU or ICU experience preferred.
• CPAN and CAPA certifications preferred.
• ACLS may be required per state/contract.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process and deliver patient care in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU).
• Manage patient care post-operatively and assist others as they come out of anesthesia.

Job description

The SICU Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for applying the nursing process and delivery of patient care in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), sometimes referred to as Post Anesthesia Care Units (PACUs). The Registered Nurse consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable for managing patient care post-operatively and assisting others in the management of patients as they come out of anesthesia.

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which thenurse practices

• CPAN and CAPA certifications preferred
