Qualifications

• Experience as a surgical technologist or surgical assistant.

• Licensure/certification requirements include CSFA, CSA, or SA-C.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical first assistant duties before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with draping and instrument handling.
• Assist with patient positioning and monitoring; ensure safety and sterile technique.
• Prepare, set up, and clean the operating room; ensure supplies and implants are ready.
• Follow policies, participate in quality improvement, and complete required education.
• May cross-train to support multiple surgical specialties.
