Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons under physician supervision and ensure a safe, efficient operating room environment. Responsibilities include preparing the OR, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting with retraction, hemostasis, and tissue handling during procedures.

Qualified candidates will have surgical technology training, BLS certification, and preferably CSFA/CSA.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of perioperative practices and sterile technique.
• Ability to maintain asepsis and infection control.
• Familiarity with surgical anatomy and common procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons with exposure, hemostasis, and other functions under physician supervision.
• Prepare OR and assist with end-of-case activities.
• Drape patient and maintain sterile field; assist with retraction and tissue handling.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, positioning, and wound care.
