Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as Surgical First Assist with robotics experience in multiple specialties.
• Graduate of PA, NP, RNFA, or CSA program and current state licensure.
• National certifications (NCCPA, CNOR, RNFA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted first assist during robotic and traditional surgeries (GYN, urology, OB, spine, orthopedics).
• Anticipate surgeon needs, maintain sterile field, optimize patient positioning.
• Collaborate with OR team to ensure precision, efficiency and outcomes.
• Engage with patients pre-op to inform and reassure them.
• Manage case confirmations, documentation, and smooth transfers to PACU.
• Provide thorough handovers to PACU staff to maintain continuity of care.
• Lead and participate in clinical/operational improvement projects.
• Expand expertise by learning new surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Master Surgical Support

• Serve as a trusted first assist during robotic and traditional surgeries, including GYN, urology, OB, spine, and orthopedics.
• Anticipate surgeon needs, maintain a sterile field, and optimize patient positioning.
• Work seamlessly with the OR team to ensure precision, efficiency, and exceptional patient outcomes.

Own the Pre- and Post-Op Experience

• Connect with patients before surgery, ensuring they feel informed and at ease.
• Confirm cases, manage essential documentation, and facilitate smooth patient transfers.
• Provide detailed handovers to PACU staff to maintain continuity of care.

Grow, Innovate, and Lead

• Engage in clinical and operational improvement projects, including training and process enhancements.
• Expand your expertise by learning new surgical specialties and staying ahead in the ever-evolving world of surgery.

Experience
