Job summary

Agiliti Health, Inc. is seeking an entry‑level Surgical Evaluation (Quality Control) Technician I for our Roanoke, TX lab.

The role focuses on basic incoming and outgoing QC testing of surgical instruments and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with standards and readying items for shipping. Primary duties include inspecting, evaluating, and documenting test results, maintaining a clean work area, and supporting the Modality team with timely processing and decontamination when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of repair experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend and stoop frequently; lift up to 20 lbs.
• Proficient computer skills and basic cost awareness.
• Flexible schedule to meet department needs; ability to decontaminate equipment if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic Incoming and outgoing Quality Control testing for assigned equipment.
• Receive, inspect, evaluate, and test incoming equipment.
• Identify defective parts and non-conforming craftsmanship.
• Ensure proper operation and standards of outgoing equipment.
• Document services and testing performed, including required parts.
• Maintain clean work area and meet Visual Work Place standards.
• Prepare instruments and equipment for shipping.
• Handle timecard and time-off entries; review and submit.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

We are a nationwide medical equipment management company, serving hospitals and healthcare facilities. Our Surgical Evaluation (Quality Control) Technician I role uses technical and mechanical skills for the incoming and outgoing evaluation of surgical medical instruments within a designated Modality. This is an entry‑level position.

Location & Hours

Primary Job Location: Roanoke, TX – Lab. Monday‑Friday daytime hours. $18 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic incoming and outgoing Quality Control testing for assigned equipment.
• Receive, inspect, evaluate, and test incoming equipment.
