Job summary

Agiliti is seeking a Surgical Evaluation Technician I in Aberdeen, MD to perform incoming/outgoing QC testing of surgical instruments within a designated Modality. You will document testing and ensure equipment meets standards in a fast-paced lab environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma/GED, 1–2 years of repair experience, and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs. The role offers comprehensive benefits, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K match.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of repair experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to sit, stand, lift and bend during shifts.
• Proficient computer skills for testing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming/outgoing QC testing of assigned equipment for the designated Modality.
• Receive, inspect, evaluate and test incoming equipment and identify defects.
• Ensure proper operation of outgoing equipment and document all services and testing.
• Prepare instruments for shipping and maintain lab area to standards.

The Surgical Evaluation Technician I uses technical and mechanical skills for the incoming and outgoing evaluation of surgical medical instruments within a designated Modality.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Perform basic incoming and outgoing Quality Control Testing of assigned equipment for identified Modality.
• Receive, inspect, evaluate and test incoming equipment.
• Identify defective, worn parts and/or equipment craftsmanship that does not meet standards.
• Ensure proper operation and standards of outgoing equipment.
• Document all services & testing performed, including all parts needed.
• Maintain work area in good condition and to meet Visual Work Place (VWP) Standards.
• Prepare instruments and equipment for shipping.
• Handle timecard & time off entry, review and submission.
• Other tasks as assigned or needed.

What You Will Need for This Role

• High school diploma/GED.
• 1-2 years of experience with repairs preferred but not required.
• The ability to sit, stand, lift, bend and stoop often.
• The ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Some cost awareness and performance.
• Flexibility in work schedule to meet department needs.
• Proficient computer skills.
• The ability to perform equipment decontamination processes if needed.
• Maintain modality/department standards.

This range represents the low and high ends of the Agiliti pay range for this position. This base pay range information is based on the market locations shown. For sales positions, this range combines the base salary and the target incentive pay. The actual pay offered may vary depending on several factors including geographic location, experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and related factors.

Dependent on the position offered, short-term and/or long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation.
