Job summary

Agiliti is seeking a Biomedical Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and repair on medical devices. The role includes documenting service activities for billing and regulatory compliance and communicating device features to clinical staff.

The position requires an associate degree or CBET certification, a valid driver’s license, and ability to travel as needed, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology.
  • Equivalent military training or Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET).
  • Proficiency in preventive maintenance and repairs on general equipment or knowledge in anesthesia, imaging, network-smart technology, respiratory or sterilizers.
  • Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Must have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to provide technical training to other employees in areas such as equipment operation, check-out procedures, preventive maintenance, repair, quality management and ISO practices.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours; travel as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform frequent bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling/crawling, and standing.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts cost-effective equipment inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair service on various medical devices.
  • Completes all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure complete documentation for billing and regulatory compliance.
  • Communicates with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.

What You Will Do in This Role

  • Alternative qualifications include Equivalent military training or Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET).
  • Proficiency in completing preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide range of general equipment or demonstrated knowledge within a specialized equipment area such as anesthesia, imaging, network-smart technology, respiratory or sterilizers.
  • Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Must have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office programs.
  • The ability to provide technical training to other employees in areas such as equipment operation, check-out procedures, preventive maintenance, repair, quality management and/or International Organization for Standardization practices, procedures, and documentation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as needed to support a 24/7 schedule.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to support business needs.
  • The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 75 pounds.
  • The ability to often bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
