Responsibilities

• Split time between exam room, outpatient, and surgical caseload support
• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures, including patient prep, setup, and recovery
• Perform anesthesia induction and monitoring as directed by the veterinary team
• Perform dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
• Assist with cystocentesis, IV catheter placement, IV/IM injections, and microscope evaluation
• Provide safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
• Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Build positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces

Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for our clients and patients across all aspects of hospital care.

We are seeking dependable, motivated candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask efficiently, anticipate team needs, and take pride in delivering exceptional support throughout every stage of the patient visit. Training is considered for the right candidate with a strong foundation and the drive to grow.

In this position, you will take an active role in:

• Splitting time between exam room, outpatient, and surgical caseload support
• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures, including patient prep, setup, and recovery
• Performing anesthesia induction and monitoring as directed by the veterinary team
• Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs

Schedule and compensation:

• Compensation: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour, for each hour worked
• This is a full-time position, with a 4 x 10 schedule, Monday–Friday.No weekends and no holidays.
