Job summary

CDOMS is hiring experienced Dental Surgical Assistants for full-time and part-time roles in Albany and Latham, NY. You will join a dedicated surgical team, assisting with complex procedures and learning from skilled oral surgeons.

We offer competitive pay, a $1,000 sign-on bonus, and opportunities to advance toward Lead Dental Surgical Assistant. Schedules include FT and PT within standard hours, with a strong referral network supporting steady patient volume.

Qualifications

• Experience with wisdom teeth, surgical extractions, implants, and/or sedation preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Dental assisting education and applicable certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical operatories, instruments, equipment, and patient charts for procedures.
• Provide chairside assistance during oral surgery procedures, including wisdom teeth, extractions, implants, and IV sedation.
• Support surgeons and anesthesia teams throughout procedures.
• Monitor patient comfort and assist with vitals and recovery within training/scope.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control standards.
• Capture digital imaging and support accurate clinical documentation.
• Educate patients on pre- and post-operative instructions.
