The University of Michigan Health - Sparrow is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated full-time Medical Director for Trauma/Critical Care Services. The University of Michigan Health – Sparrow delivers exceptional quality care in a diverse and family-friendly community and is committed to improving access to medical care across the Mid-Michigan region.
The Medical Director of Trauma /Critical Care Services works with the Chief Medical Officer of University of Michigan Health - Sparrow to provide medical leadership for trauma and critical care services including quality improvement and problem-solving for clinical concerns, assuring that the professional services provided in the intensive care, critical care, neuro intensive care, trauma, meet patient needs in a timely, efficient and high-quality manner. Shall work closely to identify and resolve medical matters with members of the Medical ICU, CVICU, NICU, Trauma Team and the medical staff. Clinically, is responsible for the system and infrastructure to provide direct care of injured adult trauma patients. This includes the ED resuscitation bay, ICU, OR, floor, and clinic. This clinical responsibility also includes oversight and review of all Trauma patients admitted to the service/hospital and their attendant medical issues. Position will be 50% administrative and 50% clinical.
