Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Trials Specialist to support and oversee patient recruitment, screening and enrollment for multiple trials in the Surgery FIRST Program. You will work with investigators and staff to ensure protocol adherence, consent processes and IRB compliance throughout the study lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in clinical research or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and data management.
• Ability to produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee recruitment, screening and enrollment for multiple trials.
• Coordinate with PI and research staff; manage IRB submissions and annual reviews.
• Attend IRB meetings and address questions regarding protocols or consent forms.
• Monitor adverse events and report them per FDA and IRB guidelines.
• Assist in budgeting, grant applications and tracking protocol progress.
