Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking an OR Circulating RN (Full-Time) to join an Ambulatory Surgical Center.

The Circulator assists by acting as a liaison between the operating room staff and the rest of the center, ensuring nursing care is provided per physician orders and center policies. Key duties include scrubbing, circulating duties, and direct assistance to the surgeon with tasks such as hemostasis, suturing and patient positioning, along with room and instrument preparation.

Qualifications

• Current MO RN License (or compact licensure) is required.
• CPR required.
• Previous Circulating experience is required; Orthopedic experience is a bonus!

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
• Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
• Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
• Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
