Pay: $15.79-22.11 per hour based upon applicable experience + applicable shift premiums (when working afternoons, overnights and/or weekends)

Position Purpose:
Surgical Care Tech’s in the Pre-op and PACU department care for patients before and after their surgical procedure. In our Operating Room at Chelsea, more than 5,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed annually in the fields of gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, podiatry, plastic surgery, and spine surgery.
The Surgical Care Tech cleans and disinfects Endoscopes and other related equipment as assigned. Performs surgical care tech duties as assigned (i.e., transporting patients, vital signs, performs urine pregnancy test, discontinuing IV’s etc) Performs clerical duties as assigned. Performs housekeeping duties (Cleaning stretchers, equipment, terminally cleaning of the Surgical Department, etc.)
Shift Available: Day Shift (start times vary between 5:45-8:30am, 10 hour shifts)
Status Available: Part time, benefit eligible (40 hours per pay period – every two weeks)
