Job summary

Trinity Health Michigan is seeking a dedicated Surgical Care Tech for the Endoscopy/Pain Department at Chelsea Hospital. This full-time, day-shift role involves assisting with patient care and maintaining sterile, safe environments in a high-volume facility.

You will clean and disinfect endoscopes, transport patients, take vital signs, perform urine pregnancy tests, and assist with IV discontinuation, clerical tasks, and housekeeping to support operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects Endoscopes and related equipment as assigned.
• Performs surgical care tech duties such as transporting patients and monitoring vital signs.
• Performs urine pregnancy tests and discontinuing IVs as needed.
• Performs clerical duties as assigned and assists with housekeeping (stretchers, equipment) in the Surgical Department.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Surgical Care Tech to become a vital part of our Endoscopy/Pain Department.

Our state-of-the-art facility, located in the Chelsea Professional Building, features:

• 16 prep/PACU bays
• 2 pain procedure rooms
• 4 endoscopy suites

The Surgical Care Tech cleans and disinfects Endoscopes and other related equipment as assigned. Performs surgical care tech duties as assigned (i.e., transporting patients, vital signs, performs urine pregnancy test, discontinuing IV’s etc) Performs clerical duties as assigned. Performs housekeeping duties (Cleaning stretchers, equipment, terminally cleaning of the Surgical Department, etc.)

Shift Available: Day Shift (varying start times between 6am-10am depending up on case load for the day)

Status Available: Full time, benefit eligible (64 hours per pay period – every two weeks) – 8 hour shifts

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma
• A minimum of one-year previous related experience.
