Job summary

Saint Luke's South Hospital in Overland Park, KS is seeking a full-time Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with bathing, hygiene, feeding, toileting, mobility, and positioning, while supporting safety and patient comfort on the unit.

Day shift, on-site position with opportunities to grow through in-hospital training; a CNA certification and current BLS are required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification or retraining required.
• CNA certification is required per job description.
• Ability to perform basic patient care tasks and communicate effectively with the care team.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Nursing Assistant is responsible for performing direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by the Registered Nurse. The Nursing Assistant functions under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. The primary responsibility of the Nursing Assistant is to provide basic patient cares such as bathing and hygiene elimination and toileting nutrition feeding and hydration and ambulation and positioning. The Nursing Assistant supports patient safety and patient satisfaction by performing regular patient rounds on the nursing unit and effectively communicating with all team members.
