Job description

Description:

Provide leadership and guidance to a team of professional fee billers and surgical coders. Responsible for daily charge reconciliation to ensure timely and accurate charge capture. Ensure productivity and accuracy standards are met. Perform quality coding reviews of surgical coding and provide feedback and education to surgical coders to ensure compliance with coding guidelines. Provide education and training to ensure team members are cross-trained across multiple specialties. Maintain open communication with clinical departments to provide feedback on billing and documentation. Perform and document regular meetings and huddles with the team.

Work closely with the A/R team to resolve coding and billing denials and identify trends to prevent recurring denials.

Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate controls and systems to ensure consistent performance. Estimated salary range for this position is $55,952.22 - $72,737.89 / year depending on experience.

Qualifications:

Degrees: High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper. CPC or CSC certification preferred.

Additional Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience, surgical coding experience, knowledge of ICD 10 and CPT guidelines. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills preferred.
