Mercy Health Partners is seeking a Surgical Assistant to join their team in Cincinnati. In this role, you will assist surgeons and ensure a safe environment for patients during operative procedures. Candidates should have a vocational degree, relevant licenses, and at least 2 years of perioperative experience to contribute effectively to our surgical team.

Functions as the first/second assist during operative and other invasive procedures in accordance with credentials, privileges, expertise, education and competency verification. Functions as a member of the surgical team in room preparation, turnover, and facilitation of the daily surgery schedule.
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Required Minimum Education: Vocational/Technical Degree
Specialty/Major: Graduate of a Surgical Assistant program or equivalent
Preferred Education: 4 year/Bachelors Degree
Specialty/Major: Graduate of a Surgical Assistant program or equivalent
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS (must be non-expired/active unless otherwise stated):
Required: BLS
Preferred:CST or CSA, CSFA, SA-C or equivalent certification
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Years and Type of Experience:2 years of perioperative experience
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word)
