Job summary

Jackson Hospital seeks a First Assistant who will work under a physician to plan, prepare and set up for surgical cases and manage supplies and equipment. The role provides direct preoperative and postoperative patient care under established policies and guidelines.

The candidate should have an RN license in Alabama or completion of an OR technical program, with OR experience preferred and strong communication skills to coordinate with staff and physicians.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in nursing or completion of an Operating Room Technical program.
• Current licensure in State of Alabama as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in OR and nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plann ing, preparing and setting up for cases.
• Managing supplies and equipment for procedures.
