Job summary

Northern Nevada Oral Surgery is seeking a skilled Oral Surgery Assistant to join our Reno and Sparks offices. You will work chairside with board-certified surgeons on extractions, implants, grafts, and trauma care, ensuring meticulous infection control and patient comfort.

We value precision, teamwork, and exceptional patient care, with opportunities for growth and ongoing training in oral surgery and practice operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a dental/oral surgery assistant preferred.
• DAANCE certification or willingness to obtain.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Calm, steady presence; strong patient care and teamwork.
• Willingness to work across Reno and Sparks locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons chairside during extractions, implant placements and related procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments; maintain infection control standards.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after sedation/anesthesia.
• Take digital x-rays and intraoral scans.
• Provide warm, clear communication with patients and families.
• Support smooth operation of Reno and Sparks offices as part of the clinical team.

What You'll Do

• Assist surgeons chairside during extractions, implant placement, bone grafting, and other oral & maxillofacial procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, maintaining strict infection control standards
• Monitor patients before, during, and after sedation/anesthesia
• Take digital x-rays and intra oral scans
• Support patients and their families with warmth and clear communication before and after procedures
• Help keep our Reno and Sparks offices running smoothly as part of a tight-knit clinical team effort

What We're Looking For

• Dental/oral surgery assistant experience preferred
• DAANCE certification(or willingness to obtain)
• CPR/BLS certification
• A calm, steady presence — surgery can be intense, and patients look to you for reassurance
• Someone who takes pride in precision, cleanliness, patient care and teamwork
