Job summary

Cupertino Oral & Facial Surgery PC seeks an experienced Oral Surgical Assistant to join our clinical team in Cupertino, CA. You will support surgeons during extractions, implants and other procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety while maintaining sterile technique.

Key responsibilities include instrument prep, charting, infection control, and coordinating with the team for timely patient care. CPR/BLS certification and a high school diploma are required, with additional medical training

Qualifications

• Certification as Oral Surgical Assistant preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; medical training a plus.
• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during various surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment per infection control protocols.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document surgical procedures.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow and timely patient care.
• Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA regulations and maintain a sterile environment.
• Provide patient education and post-operative instructions as directed by the surgeon.

Job Description

Cupertino Oral & Facial Surgery PC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Oral Surgical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive assistance during oral surgical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and supporting the surgical team with efficiency and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, and other oral surgeries.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document surgical procedures as required.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow and timely patient care.
• Adhere to all OSHA and HIPAA regulations and maintain a sterile environment.
• Provide patient education and post-operative instructions as directed by the surgeon.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as an Oral Surgical Assistant or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of oral surgical procedures and protocols.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and respond quickly during procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with sterilization techniques and infection control standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
