Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and assists the surgeon with equipment selection, table setup, and positioning.
• Provides retraction for visualization of the surgical site and performs cauterization of bleeding vessels.
• Performs suturing and closure of incisions, instillation of medications, and application of dressings, splints, and casts.
• Performs preoperative and postoperative duties to facilitate proper patient care.
• Communicates effectively with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.
