Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• CSA certification or surgical assistant licensure as applicable.
• 2+ years operating room scrub experience.
• Ability to work under RN supervision in a perioperative setting.

Responsibilities

• Applies aseptic principles to maintain a sterile environment.
• Assists with organization of supplies and equipment for efficiency.
• Performs intraoperative first/second assisting duties as needed.
• Assists nurse in planning patient care and coordination.
• Operates autoclave sterilization units correctly.
• Aids in room turnover and setup for procedures.
