Job summary

Advanced Surgical Associates seeks a dedicated Surgical Assistant for our Oral Surgery team. The role supports surgeons during procedures, performs preoperative tasks, maintains sterile environments, and documents patient care with precision.

You will monitor patient status, handle advanced equipment, obtain radiographs, and craft detailed patient narratives to ensure seamless clinical operations and accurate records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS certification or completion within 1 month.
  • Strong teamwork and independent work abilities.
  • Excellent safety focus and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and listening skills, especially in emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons during oral surgery procedures.
  • Support preoperative tasks and maintain sterile environments.
  • Document patient care meticulously.
  • Monitor patient status and handle advanced equipment.
  • Obtain radiographs and contribute to patient narratives.

Required Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS Certification (or completed within 1 month of hire)
  • Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities, demonstrating good judgment and critical thinking.
  • Passion for ensuring safety and exceptional attention to detail, vigilance, and meticulousness.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and superior listening skills, especially in emergency scenarios.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous oral surgery experience is beneficial.
  • DAANCE certification is desirable.
  • Licensed dental assistant status is preferred.
  • Radiology certification is a plus.
