Job summary

Lehigh Valley Oral Surgery and Implant Center PC in Stroudsburg is seeking a qualified Surgical Assistant to support the surgeon and patient care across locations, including Bethlehem as needed. You will prepare rooms, assist during procedures, monitor vitals, and provide post-operative guidance.

The role requires at least 1 year of oral surgical experience, X-ray certification preferred, and strong attention to safety, sterilization, and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ years of experience as an oral surgical assistant.
• X-Ray certification preferred.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
• Good computer skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Well-organized and reliable.
• Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to travel to the Bethlehem office as needed.

Our office, Lehigh Valley Oral Surgery and Implant Center PC - Stroudsburg, is looking for a qualified surgical assistant. This position also supports the Bethlehem as needed.

We are looking for a talented and skilled Surgical Assistant to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for every patient. Your Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment before each procedure.
• Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating the surgeon's needs and assisting as required.

As one of the essential members of our office, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.

Your Schedule

• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

You also have the following:

• At least 1+ years of experience as an oral surgical assistant
• X-Ray certification is preferred
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• A strong attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• A high school diploma
• A certificate from an accredited surgical assistant program (if required by law)
• An active state radiology license (if required by law)
• Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment
• Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas
• Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods
• Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments
• Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
• Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations

Position Base Pay Range

$16 - $19 USD
