Job summary

Randolph Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, P.A. in Randolph, NJ is seeking a talented Surgical Assistant to join our busy specialty practice.

You will support the Dentist and help deliver a world-class patient experience, handling instrument prep, sterility, and patient comfort during visits. The ideal candidate has 1+ year experience as a surgical assistant, knowledge of dental instruments and safety standards, and a professional bedside manner.

Qualifications

  • At least 1+ years of experience as surgical assistant, specialty preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Well-organized and reliable.
  • High school diploma.
  • Certificate from an accredited surgical assistant program (if required by law).
  • Active state radiology license (if required by law).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment before each procedure.
  • Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating the surgeon's needs and assisting as required.
  • Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized.
  • Monitor and record patient vitals and ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare and provide post-operative instructions and materials to patients.
  • Help maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager.
  • Facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.

Our office, Randolph Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, P.A. in Randolph, NJ is seeking a talented surgical assistant to join our busy specialty practice.

We are looking for a talented and skilled Surgical Assistant to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for every patient. Your Responsibilities

You will ensure excellent patient service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist’s shoulders. You will be focused on ensuring that the patients' needs, concerns, and questions are answered. You will help keep the patient relaxed and comfortable during their visit, being the patients go to resource during their visit which includes the following:

  • Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment before each procedure.
  • Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating the surgeon's needs and assisting as required.
  • Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized.
  • Monitor and record patient vitals and ensure patient comfort and safety.

  • Help maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager.

As one of the essential members of our office, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.

You also have the following:

  • At least 1+ years of experience as surgical assistant, specialty is preferred
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • A high school diploma
  • A certificate from an accredited surgical assistant program (if required by law)
  • An active state radiology license (if required by law)

Position Base Pay Range

$25 - $31 USD
