Job summary

Loyola Medicine is seeking a Surgical Assistant to provide technical assistance under the direct supervision of the surgeon, helping ensure optimal patient outcomes during operations.

Responsibilities include positioning the patient, preparing the skin, visualizing the operative site, and assisting with hemostasis, closure of body planes, and dressings. This role is part-time with a day shift.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; advanced training or work experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred; Surgical Assistant certification encouraged.

What You'll Need For This Job
  • High School Diploma required. Preferred: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education
  • Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
  • Licensure/Certifications Required: CPR - Basic Life Support Preferred: Certified in Surgical Assistant.
Compensation

Pay Range: $32.25-$54.35 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
