Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Supervisor APP (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) in the Surgical Department to manage and supervise the APN/PA team, ensuring high-quality patient care and aligning with department goals.

The role includes administrative leadership, staffing, training, and collaboration with surgeons and hospital leadership to optimize surgical services. A Master’s degree and PA/NP licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Physician Assistant program; Master’s degree.
• Master’s degree is required for leadership role.
• Licensure as Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant with valid credentials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee selection and evaluation of APNs/PAs in the department.
• Supervise training, onboarding, and competency development of staff.
• Schedule staffing to ensure proper coverage and staffing levels.
• Lead process improvements and educational initiatives for APN/PA teams.
• Ensure compliance with licensure, certification, and supervision agreements.
• Act as liaison between APNs/PAs, physicians, administration and external groups.
