Job summary
Baptist Health, a leading Florida-based health system, seeks a Surgical APP to provide patient care in collaboration with surgeons, both in the OR and clinics. The APP will conduct histories and exams, order tests, and participate in perioperative care under surgeon supervision.
On-call duties are included, with a salary range of $128,672–$167,273 per year based on experience. Qualifications include a Master’s degree, Florida APRN or PA license, NP/NCCPA certifications, DEA, and BLS, plus
Qualifications
- Masters degree in nursing or physician assistant track.
- NPRN/APRN credentials and Florida license required.
- Nurse Practitioner national certification and DEA license.
- BLS certification and RNFA preferred.
- 3 years of relevant nursing experience; hospital privileges application.
- NCCPA certification for PA path; Florida PA license.
- Adherence to Florida CEUs/licensure requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in collaboration with surgeons, pre/intra/post operative management.
- Assist in surgery as needed and perform procedures in OR.
- Manage inpatient rounding, wound care, and consultations.
- Coordinate outpatient clinic procedures and family education.
- Participate in on-call coverage during weekdays, weeknights and weekends.
