Job summary

Qualifications

  • Current Hawaii State license as an APRN or Physician Assistant in good standing.
  • If licensed as an APRN, board certification aligned with area of assignment is required.
  • If APRN, RNFA program completion is required.
  • Prescriptive authority may be required depending on area.
  • Credentialing and privileging required if providing medical level of care.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Two years nursing experience or APRN Fellowship for APRN position.
  • One year clinical experience as APRN or PA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical care including diagnosing, prescribing, and managing acute and chronic diseases.
  • Work under physician supervision where required and collaborate with care teams.
  • Develop and implement care protocols and participate in health care research.
  • Educate patients and families and advocate for quality patient care.
  • Maintain licensure, credentialing, and compliance with hospital policies.

Education

Current Hawaii State APRN/PA license in good standing
APRN board certification (if APRN)
RNFA program completion (APRN)
Prescriptive authority (non-controlled/controlled) as required
Credentialing and privileging
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Two years nursing experience or APRN Fellowship
One year APRN/PA clinical experience preferred
