Job summary

Kindred Heart Animal Hospital near Chapel Hill, North Carolina is seeking a Surgery Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our dedicated staff. This is a weekday position — no weekends required.

Our full-service practice serves Carrboro and Chapel Hill with in-house labs, digital radiographs, ultrasound, and a dental suite. We value teamwork, professional development, and compassionate care for all companion animals.

Qualifications

• At least one year of veterinary experience as an assistant or technician preferred.
• Ability to work in a surgical-support role with patient monitoring and post-op care.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be on feet for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Client communication and triage of patients.
• Assist with surgical procedures and patient monitoring.
• Perform diagnostic testing including radiographs and labs.
• Assist in taking radiographs and giving injections.
• Dispense medications as directed and maintain catheters.
